Was it just my imagination, or did the Packers run the ball to the right side, where they SHOULD be running it, more often than usual against the Eagles?

Starks is better than Grant. Oh yeah, and I told you so!

I was thinking the same thing, but figured I was smoking the wacky stuff. I did notice that Starks seems to keep the ball in his right arm a lot. Before anyone jumps me thinking I'm bashing him, I've noticed a LOT (good portion) of RB's who keep the ball in one arm.

I don't care if they drop him down in a friggin' parachute as long as he gives us 2nd and 6 consistantly.

Maybe dhpackr has me a tad defensive, but you saying that I do care how we get the yards? HUH BIG SHOT!!!!

Nah, just messing. I don't care if its single back, i formation, wish bone, split back, whichever, although I prefer not to see runs out of shotgun. I don't know why, I just don't care for them.

I know some of us have been over board on the Starks love, but I'm telling you, since the first time I seen him carry, I liked how he attacks the hole and falls forward. I think I even like watching Starks more than Grant. I'm not ready to say Starks should start, but gosh, I'm liking what I see.

Overboard? What do you mean? Certainly not me. Just because I said he was better than Jim Brown and OJ Simpson combined in the chat doesn't mean anyone was going overboard on Starks love. ;)

Ah, but you DIDN'T say he was better than A.P. lol

(Does Starks role change because of what he did?)
His role? Well, he definitely deserves opportunity. Hell run the ball against Atlanta, if thats what youre asking me. Yeah, hes going to carry the ball in Atlanta. Hes earned that. The young man was extremely productive and works extremely hard. Hes had a tough road coming here in the spring and being injured, PUP and not to be able to practice in pads for Lord knows how long. Weve just been trying to get him ready through the weekly practices. Its nice to see someone like James put as much into it, stay patient, stay confident, and when his number is called, to produce.

(Your fan base has been clamoring for him a lot. Is it fair to say you wanted to make sure before you expanded his role that you knew he could hold onto the football and that you felt good in pass protection? Were those the things holding him back more than anything else?)
Its all about preparation. When you dont have an opportunity to see someone do it in the padded practice, I think its only natural to be concerned about it. I think those are all natural questions that everybody had, including James. He hadnt run through an inside drill in quite some time. To go back and ask him to return a kickoff and he hadnt done it in a year and a half, thats a legitimate concern. Edgar Bennett does an outstanding job coaching the running backs, and we were just making sure that he was ready to go.

I'm thinking Starks returning a kick wasn't Mike's idea.
