All of the stuff that happened today, its crazy when you think about it. We had all of this awesome stuff happen (besides that punt turnover).

But two missed FGs, Celek actually steps out of bound by an inch?!, etc.

Its crazy, that's why I think sometimes we go too hard on our team. We lose games and go nuts like they suck.

But a play here and an inch there is all that makes the difference between winning and being happy and losing and being angry. It really is interesting.

I don't even know what I am talking about anymore, I'm just so happy, I can't think straight. First playoff win since 2008! Rodgers first playoff win! Starks?!

You know what else is crazy, its weird to have a really good D. I actually would rather have had our D there to defend a lead than have our O out there to win the game and we're behind. I actually trust the D and actually prefer them, havn't had this feeling about a Packers D in a long long time.

EDIT - I forgot about that JJ drop that was against us. That sucked. There were a bunch of drops. Hopefully they fix that next game. If I was Rodgers, I would have punched JJ in the face.

I watch quite a few NFL games and we're not the only team that drops passes and Jones isn't the only one who drops passes on our roster. But Jones seems to drop the ones that look so routine and would be an easy touchdown therefore he gets blasted the hardest.

It was incredibly nerve-wracking. The Packers led the whole way once they scored at the end of the first quarter, but I always felt like they should've been ahead by more. The drop by Jones was huge. It would've been 21-3 going into halftime, with the Packers getting the ball first in the second half. Possibly a blowout. Instead it was a nailbiter. But Starks, Rodgers, and the defense got the job done. Nice punt at the end by Masthay, too.

Yes, I've defended Jones all season on the same grounds, but this one may have finally pushed me over the edge. He's going into a contract year. I wonder how much money that drop will cost him?

Good game, the drops and late game struggles were the only negatives for me.

We also had our fair share of luck today. It's not often you get a pro bowl kicker missing two field goals inside the 41 in a five point game?

It felt like we totally outplayed them for the most part, but didn't stick the dagger in them when we had the chance. The Jones drop would have been that dagger IMO. The guy has talent, but I wonder if he is not our Roy Williams, a guy who seems to have all the tools, but whose mind takes a break at inexcusable times.

Ah, now there's a good comparison. Or Braylon Edwards.

I agree that the Packers outplayed them, at least in the first half, but missed some opportunities to put them into desperation mode.

I still think he's good. He caught a TD pass today, and would not have even had an opportunity to catch a TD if he didn't beat one of the best corners in the game.

It's hard sometimes being such a huge fan during these "crazy" games... the emotional roller coaster I ride is exhausting but always a great time.

To think sometimes what being a hardcore fan in the NFL entails, I don't know how I survive the offseason sometimes, then again I enjoy the draft as much as the season and then you have the release of Madden. It's the oinly only thing that keeps me going!

The difference is that those guys were their respective team's top options. We have Driver, Jennings, and Finley as options before you even mention James Jones.

Besides, I'd take James Jones over Robert Ferguson any day.

beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.

beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
