I think we have plenty of talent at the running back position, we may be lacking a true change of pace type back though, to get the job done effectively. The overall talent level is far superior to what we had just two seasons ago..

The running game starts up front.. the offensive line needs to hold court and this group of backs will provide plenty for us to win.

I agree. Very rarely does a SB winning team have both a great stable of RBs and an amazing QB. What they usually do have though, is a great O-line.

Although I think that none of our backs are truly amazing right now, I do think they can get the job done and that it shouldn't be a point we should be focusing on right now.

Still, I wouldn't mind us using a 1st rounder on an OT next year and then use a 2nd rounder or a speed back. If you get lucky, you may even get a Steve Slaton out of it.

Jackson only started one year in college and came out early. I look for him to make a big jump this year, at least I hope so. I agree with whoever said it, that when our O line gets respectable/good our backs will look a lot better. We don't have any elite backs but we do have good backs who can get the job done with decent blocking. We should have more 2nd and 6 rather than 2nd and 8, more 3rd and 4 rather than 3rd and 7 situations. Which in turn will make our passing game more dangerous.
