Whom do you feel garners more credit (approval) for the Packers making it to the playoffs this year? Specifically, we've overcome a few injuries. Was it Ted for finding the talent, or Mike for tapping that talent?

Which do you approve more?

If you want to share why, or why not, feel free.

Can't go for both? Or maybe even Capers?

Getting a play-off run out of this group of back-ups on defense is amazing. I know MM is our HC and is the man in charge, but I really do have the feeling that he just lets Capers do his work on the defense.

I mean, look at it. We lost a T, while we already have our T of the future on the roster. We lost Finley, but he was just one of the weapons. We lost Grant and the running game hasn't picked up.

On defense, though, we're going with an UDFA at nickel CB (Which is just about a starting job with the Pack), OLB nr. 20 named Walden, who didn't have a sack in 5 years before this week, Bishop starting for Barnett, Harris is gone, Burnett got injured, Jenkins has been in and out, the d-line has been down to just two or three guys multiple times this season...

You don't rebound from that without both a good defensive cordinator and one heck of an amount of depth on the roster.

Of course, McCarthy deserves some credit, but I'll go with Ted.

Where is the option for Dom Capers?

IMO.. he and his defensive staff have been the key to our run to the playoffs.. with the number of injuries they have overcome and adjusted to.

But on the options there. Ted Thompson.

MM has done well this season, but this offense has been a bit hamstrung with their inability to establish a consistent run attack this season. When we stick with the run.. it proves valuable.

Just I think Capers and company out-coached their offensive counter parts.

Hard to argue, right? Capers defense, 2nd in points allowed, McCarthy's offense in points scored, 10th.

I don't know how you can't like both of them.

Had not all these guys gotten hurt the roster is one of the best in the NFL so you have to give Ted Thompson credit there.

With all the lineup changes and many players stepping in including several with little experience you have to give McCarthy the NFL "Unflappable" award.

The Packers have played 16 games and have been in every single one of them down to virtually the last play, or, we blew the other team out.

Even though there are some that want to bitch and moan there is a whole lot more to approve of than not regarding both these guys. They believe in staying within the organization and going with guys that have been here and have learned the system vs. going outside which I KNOW is not popular with some here but it works and what impresses me the most is these guys will not push the panic button.

We go to NE who have been blowing everybody out and we have SIXTEEN guys out or on IR, playing a backup QB that's hardly ever seen the field, and we come closer than ANYBODY to beating those guys.

That game really showed me the kind of character the people running this show has.

Who said you can't like them both? The poll is simply asking your opinion on which garners more approval/credit for the "success" of the season.

TT gets the nod. He had on the roster, or obtained, the plug ins when players went down, and he hired MM, who has proven himself very capable.

One thing I like about MM is that he does not seem to have a huge ego. Some coaches would be threatened by a stellar assistant doing the job that Capers has done these past 2 years (See Todd Haley and Charlie Weis as an example). MM seems delighted to have him on staff and regularly endorses the performance of the defense.
