Everyone (including me) seems to think they should do it, although Peter King has said that they probably won't get around to it just because they have so many issues on the table with the labor problems.

I'm down with the 16 - 2 season and re-seeding.

The problem that could occur with reseeding is selling tickets. It is easier for the NBA to fill a 16,000 seat arena in a few days than an NFL team to sell tickets to fill a 70,000 seat stadium on relatively short notice.

Not every team has a fan base like GB and there will be empty seats and the NFL hates that more than a sub 500 team winning a wild card game at home.

It could work out and the stadiums sold out but it is a little more difficult.
With about 5 weeks to go in the season we get a letter from the Packers informing us that the NFL has given them, the Packers, the right to presell playoff tickets. It can be for 1 or 2 games. Depending on their record that year, it can be the wild card game and division game or it can be the division game and the NFC CG. Of course being the gold ticket holder we only get a chance after the green ticket holders have made their choice.

Since GB has 2 full set of season ticket holders they will never have a problem selling out. Other teams don't have that luxury. Therefore GB should host 2 playoff games every year!

I like the current system. Having a sub-500 team get in is (obviously) a rare occurrence. This year, as it turns out, all four teams in the NFC West just happened to have a crappy year. Three years from now, it might be the toughest division in football. And there's not a hell of a lot of difference, talent-wise, between a 7-9 team and a 9-7 one.

I was rooting for the Seahawks, btw. I would have rooted for them no matter who they were playing (well, with one obvious exception, that is). Not because I particularly like them but because it irked me hearing all these football pundits who were somehow offended that Seattle, after winning their division, was in the playoffs to begin with.

Is it unfortunate that they got in while a couple of 10-6 teams didn't? Maybe. But it's also fair; everyone's playing by the same rules.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.

Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
