I don't really agree with firing the guy with only one game left. I do think the lack of CBA played into it because this game is the last time they will see these players possibly until Training Camp. Maybe they want to see how the players do under a different head coach?

bite me. men need as much direction as humanly possible.

i find it odd as well that they fired him with one game left. i guess they asked him to resign, he refused, so boom - fired.

At least he doesn't have to endure a week of the media telling him he is gone. I don't see this as a classless move by SF, it was going to happen anyway so why not get it over with?

SF has needed a QB for a long time now. They should have never let Shaun Hill leave. They either go after McNabb or try and move up in the draft is my guess. Maybe they will offer us a trade for Flynn? I can see some of these teams struggling at QB making us an offer.

The Packers have beat every team whose coach has been fired this season, and if the Giants fail to make the playoffs, I have to think Tom Coughlin will be gone too.
