I have so much faith that the Packers will win I will miss the beginning of the game. I am going to the Steelers vs Jets game and won't get home till late. I am hoping the Steelers lose so I don't have to put up with all the Steeler fans here laughing at me. I try thinking maybe our defense can stop them but I remember how they destroyed the Steelers, Jets, and Bears all top defenses by stats. Oh well maybe we will get a christmas miracle.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Even if the Packers lose to the Patriots . . .

. . . as long as they beat the New York Giants AND the Chicago Bears . . .

. . . AND the New York Giants beat EITHER the Philadelphia Eagles OR the Washington Redskins . . .

. . . AND the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to EITHER the Detroit Lions OR the Seattle Seahawks OR the New Orleans Saints . . .

. . . then the Packers are in the playoffs.

That is an extremely likely scenario. Unless the Bears lose out, which I don't see happening, the Patriots game is irrelevant to the Packers' postseason prospects; neither beating nor losing to the Patriots affects their odds of making the playoffs in any way. In my opinion, given that they do not have to beat the Patriots to make the playoffs, they probably should not even try. The smartest course of action would be to bench Aaron Rodgers, Donald Driver, Clay Matthews III, and any other starters who are ailing. They should treat this game as another bye week and return the team healthy and rested for the final two games, which ARE must-wins. Doing this would give Matt Flynn some valuable snaps in a real gametime situation against a challenging opponent and improve the teams chances of beating the Giants and Bears.

Considering, however, that we have a coaching staff who was too bullheaded to let an opposing team score when it would have given the offense a fighting chance to stage a last-minute comeback, I don't see it happening.

wait why would the giants beating the redskins help us out at all? i'd think we'd want them to lose

That is weird. I could have sworn I wrote "lose to EITHER the Philadelphia Eagles OR the Washington Redskins."

No wonder people were scoffing at the scenario as I presented it.

So that means that, now, since the Giants and the Bucs have both lost, if we beat the Giants AND the Bears, we make the playoffs no matter what?

It was a bold prediction, and I was going to give you guys all the credit in the world if it came true, but the Packers fell short once again. That last 30 yards felt like 30 miles with Flynn in there, even though he played a very good game overall.

Great game by everyone but special teams. Had a great time (as much as you can when you lose). Flynn at the end was totally understandable. Would have been great to win, but I feel like we controlled the game, which I don't feel we have done much all year. Overall, great effort. Hope the Queens f&^* the Bears up tomorrow night simply for spite. Hey, what was the Bears excuse for 36-7 at home? I forgot already!!!

Yeah, I really liked the game plan and for the most part the execution was crisp. It was the best use of Flynn's talents while hiding his weak arm. He did make one really nice downfield throw--the 66 yard TD to Jones. That was a perfect throw.

Packers despite losing(barely) showed just how good of a team they really are. Jets and Bears are likely both playoff teams and Brady absolutely destroyed them. Packers were only a play or two away from the W and that's with essentially a rookie in there! It was sickening to see it end like that but overall The Packers get an A + for effort and should've pulled the upset.
