the dome collapsed so will they still play, think maybe they will move it to giants stadium?

It has collapsed before so I am sure they will clear out the snow and reinflate it in time for tomorrow.

Torn. Not happening.

Very random thoughts/scenarios:

If they don't find a venue, (possible) it could be the Eagles that get screwed, not the Giants. (In the event that instead of a short week, the Eagles have the equivalent of a "bye" week heading into their game with Philly--it is as possible as many scenarios) If they go to New Orleans/Detroit, it is the Eagles and Packers that are getting screwed, ( The Giants are dodging the metrodome noise, Brett and Harvin healthy--negated possibly by Hakeem Nicks improved health) if they don't get it fixed in time for next Monday night's game, it's the Packers that are getting screwed (Bears dodge Metrodome crowd - noise)

I think this is good for GB. Rumors of this game being pushed to Tuesday now, and the Giants have to play the Eagles on Sunday. I imagine the chaos can't help the Giants v. the Vikes, and certainly won't help v Eagles.

The Pack need the Queenies to beat Chicago next week as well, and although Queenies also get a shorter week, with it being a Monday nighter, even if game pushed to Tuesday, it's not THAT short of a week.

I feel disgusting saying this but, Go Vik...ugh, Go Viki....good God this is tough...Go Vikin...hell, I can't say it, but may the Queen's opponent the next 2 weeks struggle! 🙂

The NFL is going to get in the Queen - Giants game. Just whether it's Mon or Tues and whether it's at U of MN, Detroit, or NO. No matter the circumstances, you'd have to think this helps the Pack by hurting the Giants v. the Eagles on a shortened week.

You raise a good point about the Bears possibly missing a road game opportunity, but there is talk of being able to re-inflate the humpty dome by then...and as a Pack fan, believe it or not, I'm hoping for it!

Maybe the Vikings should go down to KC and play the Giants there.

It had to do with having a dome, and a TV crew already being there

I was really hoping for Tuesday 'cause that would have really f'd with the Giants!

Ah, but the Giants didn't bring their outside gear, so they need a dome, or need somebody to charter a plane to get their gear on the road. Detroit already will have a TV crew, doesn't need to be cleared of snow, and the Giants are already on the road, so why not fly em all there?

I think it's more reasonable than trying to dig out the Gophers' stadium anyhow, though I would kinda like to see football played in those cold, windy, Canada-like conditions....

Gopher stadium was my first suggestion, but apparently it's not ready and also full of snow. It'd take too long to prep it. And the Giants didn't bring cleats, etc for an outside game.

It's going to be played in Detroit because it's a dome and they already have a TV crew there.
