Two out of the past 3 years, the Packers have fallen short in the playoffs in gutwrenching fashion. Even when we lose a game during the regular season, it's gutwrenching. Remember the Steelers game last year? This year it's always been by like 3 points in games where we shouldve been way ahead. Two of our losses were in OT.
Just think about our last two playoff losses. We gotta kick that jinx for sure.

Fact is this. Sometimes it takes a wake up call, or perhaps a "Come To Jesus Meeting." to realize there is a weak link in a Championship Team.

Adversity is a good thing. Did the loss of Ryan Grant help the youth on the O Line focus more developing the skills to open gaps for Jackson just because they knew they had to step up?

Did the T.E's realize they needed to listen to the coaches and learn to run a better route, block, and step up with the loss of Grant and Finley?

Did Aaron need to develop his skills to focus more on getting the ball out quick with two reads after not having a running game this year? Damn right he did.

All I am stating is the loss of Grant and a running game has helped develop other areas of the offense. And perhaps helped The Packers realize that Running Back may be more of a focus than they would have had in this years draft then they would have had if Grant was healthy this year.

Face it, Grant is not a spring chicken and is coming off a season ending injury.

Maybe RP is comparing the loss of Grant to the loss of Sterling...

Once Sharpe went down, made Brett focus on the other players which in turn made him better and made the Packers better

I think Grant is likely to play a big role for the next few years, barring injury. At 28, he has at least a couple more good years left, and his work ethic has become legendary among his teammates. I also think that, unless Starks clearly shows that he is the better player, Grant will get his starting job back next year. He's under contract, and the Packers would be wise to use him while they can. There's no need to rush Starks unless he is just too good to keep off the field.

I don't see how the loss of Grant has made the Packers better. The offense, particularly the running game, clearly struggled without him. The O-line did not open better holes for Jackson, as far as I could tell. It looked more like the linemen lost confidence and regressed without Grant running the ball. The offense is now to the point where it is about as good as last year, but it is not better than last year. If the Packers are improved, it is because the defense is improved, and to a lesser extent, the special teams.

Yeah same here. He really didn't get many opportunities either.

However, I don't think Grant would have been shut down like that. (I know, I know, Starks wasn't our main guy).

Cut me some slack, I just need something to complain about right now hahaha.

NO RB in the NFL would have made any progress today with the line play we were getting.
