Mathews is simply getting game-planned because he is a force and blocking him with one guy would be a mistake most teams now won't risk.
Fortunately, the rest of the D has made this a "pick your poison" proposition.
The Packers are doing extremely well in most all of the stats I look at as key.
1) Points scored
2) Points allowed
3) Sacks
4) Redzone scoring %
5) Turnovers
6) Turnovers created
7) Points allowed after a turnover
8) Penalties
9) 3rd down conversion %
#1 and #2 are a given and #'s 3 thru 8 are big play indicators or difference makers between winning and losing. I would be willing to bet having not run these that if you give a value from 1 to 32 on these stats with the lowest number the best we finish #1 or #2.
Rodgers is hot. If we can continue to keep the penalties down and the defense plays like it has been we will be there in the end.
