Taking the Christl/Baranczyk assessment together with pack93z's assessment, I wonder if maybe Quinn is not the best fit for the Packers' scheme. Maybe he would be more valuable to another team.

Honestly.. he isn't.. he is a guy that hits the hole and wants to bury somebody.. now your telling him to stick his nose in there and stop.. doesn't fit his MO at LSU.

I will cite another example of a guy knocking people around but ultimately wasn't kept because he didn't fit. Vonta Leach.

Watch Leach in that Texans system where he is allowed to kick guys out of the hole and he is very effective.

When they talked about establishing a running game last season and keeping Johnson.. I thought maybe they would scrap the zone system.. but watch when we run and the FB get into the hole and stone the defender.. they don't want him to push the guy and close a potential hole.

Without chopping guys down.. I am not a fan of the zone scheme.. and I detest the chop.. so ultimately I am not a fan.

I would rather say I am going to run off the 53 and blow guys out of the freaking hole. lol.

He can't catch either. He should be on a power I formation running team. Trade bait.

Nobody would trade for a FB.

I think Johnson is a lot better than people think. Although, I haven't watched him much this year. Watching him last year in a couple of games though, you could see the potential he has to be a dominate blocker. San Francisco game really stands out as did the Detroit game.

The Broncos traded Peyton Hillis to the browns...wasn't he a FB? I could be wrong he may have always been a RB.

Technically, you could make that case. But he was a tweener if anything.

Johnson is only good for one thing and that is blocking. You aren't getting anything from that.

You're not getting a first rounder, but there's value there. He's not just an average blocker.

When the demand is there, he'd be worth something in trade. But I don't think the demand is always there. If some team loses a guy with similar skill set I think we could dump him. I haven't been impressed.

I seem to recall him playing really well against the Browns last year also. But that just begs the question: Why isn't he being noticed this year? He should be progressing, but if anything, he may be slipping a bit. Maybe the different RB situation is affecting him. Let's see if it will make a difference having Starks in there on a regular basis.

I like MM as a coach, but I don't agree with 100% of what he does. The ZBS is the thing I have the hardest time with.

I detested it when Denver was using it against us. I thought it was dangerous to our players--relied on the offensive player to be proficient enough to avoid injurying us, and not slipping/making a mistake.

I was appalled when MM instituted it for GB and still feel dirty because we are using it. It's a stain I'd like to see removed.

Kuhn reminds me of Hillis a lot but hillis is faster.

Both are HB/FB hybrids

Watched 1st half again

Johnson was in on only a handful of running plays

He didnt knock anyone off their socks, but he also didnt miss anyone either

With them releasing Havner at cut down and keeping Johnson, I think that speaks volumes to me as who was better and does their job better
