One (of many) thing I don't have a good feel for is how good our TEs are at blocking. Simply based on reading articles, my understanding is that neither Quarless/Finley are particularly good run blockers which would expose our intentions if both are in.

From what I heard, Finley made big strides with his blocking in training camp and is now quite good at it. It's not something that I was able to keep track of when he was on the field, though. I'm not sure about Quarless, but my guess is that blocking would be hard for him, as it is for most rookie TEs.
I think sometimes people assume that good receiving TEs are bad blockers. For example, I've always assumed that Dallas Clark wasn't much of a blocker, because everyone says he is essentially just a WR, but during Sunday night's game Chris Collinsworth said that the Colts really miss Clark's blocking. He's probably right. Usually he knows what he's talking about.
