Stuff like this is so annoying. What the writer (Rob Demovsky, G.B. Press Gazette) fails to mention is that the Packers LOST both games last year in which they controlled Adrian Peterson, and they WON the game this year in which Peterson gained 131 yards. Can't people get it through their thick skulls? Stopping Adrian Peterson is NOT the key to beating the Vikings. Let him have his damn yards. Just shut down their passing game.

Today the Packers did both: shut down Adrian Peterson and render Brett Favre impotent. Not surprisingly, they won convincingly.

Peterson averaged five yards per carry and got most of his yardage in the first half, when the outcome was still in question, but that was the quietest five yards per carry you'll ever see. I like what Dexter wrote about breakaway running backs. That's the best explanation I've heard for why they have less impact than is generally assumed. Well done, Dexter.
