What's with Packers players and referring to themselves in the third person?

I'm guessing the questions are phrased in the third person, so they respond in kind.

Jones' excuses don't sit well with me. Stop telling us how much better you could play and just do it.

beast thinks if a lot of people are doing it's all at once it's probably a game

but if it's just James Jones beast thinks the attention might be going to his head.

I don't find it all that remarkable. If someone were to say to me, "So how is Rourke doing?" -- I would say, "Well, as a matter of fact, Rourke's doing pretty well."
