Bought it yesterday, and I've played it for 7 hours now. Haven't started campaign yet. First impressions are, the game is a million times better than Modern Warfare 2.

It takes a few matches to adjust to some of the new things, but after a while it starts rolling.

And one thing, for everyone who will pick up the game, I have one tip. Save money for the Claymore. It's balancing is about as well done as the Model 1887s on MW2.

The claymore is relatively undetectable on black ops compared to MW2.

Did you think that it is a lot harder to pick up on movement of enemies than it was on MW2 as well? It seems that the maps are a lot more "busy" so you don't see things quite as well. Maybe my vision is failing me in my old age haha.

Some of the movements are a little different than on MW2 as well, which takes time. These things are non-factors though, as I believe that Black Ops is still a better game.

Campaign is really awesome. Great story line. I have finished it yet, but I am enjoying it thoroughly. Make sure that you have the subtitles on, though, as Reznov talks in a very hushed tone at times.

Picked up the game on Saturday. I'm loving it so far. I haven't started the campaign yet. I'm just working on leveling up online and playing with friends for now.

The zombies mode is pretty cool as well.

I'm looking forward to the campaign. Hopefully it's longer than MWII.

Favorite gun so far? Mine is Galil. I'm usually a hard-scoping type of sniper guy, but I haven't really liked any of the snipers in this game. There's no Stopping Power so it's hard to get one shot kills without a headshot.

The Dragonov, despite being the first sniper available, has worked pretty good for me. If you get a shot in the chest or head (of course), it's a one shot kill. And as I had mentioned before, I appreciate the decreased recoil on the gun, as I was accustomed to using the Intervention in MW2, which has ridiculous recoil, but was very effective.

Been playing it for two days now. It's very different than MW2. Or at least, it feels that way. My KD ratio has plummited online, compared to the last game.

Single player's ok. Landing in Vietnam while "Fortunate Son" was blasting through the speakers on base was pretty cool. Having the game get stuck 10 minutes after that, getting in an endless loop of NVA guys running off a hill wasn't that cool.

Can't help but feel a little guilty, though, when "playing" the Vietnam war for fun.

There are matches that my KS ratio is very high, and matches where it is very low. I still think that the aiming is a little different, and there seems to be too many hiding places. With every corner you come around, there are always 3 guys waiting for you in their respective hiding places.

The RCXD (or whatever they are called) cars give too big of an advantage, so maybe this should be awarded at a higher killstreak (the argument for this, of course, beign that you generally can only kill one person with the RCXD, whereas with the Napalm and attack copters you can kill multiple players).

The Napalm, when it is "friendly", can still kill you, and even worse, it counts as a death. I assume it does not count toward the other team, but does count in your KD ratio.

Small things here and there that I don't like, but that's probably just because I am so used to MW2, and like my father, I don't always embrace change.

If you want to get a better kill ratio I have one suggestion. Play Demolition and camp your ass off. Or don't. If you play carefully and slowly, Demolition will yield great results.

Why just the other day I went 28-3 with two bomb plants in Launch in Demolition.

My current KDR is around 1.07 which is not that great to be honest. I hope it'll end up somewhere around 1.5 at least.

HAHA!! That sounds pretty good to me! I was something like .9 with MW2. I think that has a lot to do with my love for sniping and sprinting around all the time. I only ever play team deathmatch, which may be compared to buying a Porsche, then only taking it up to 35mph. I just don't have the patience to camp out.....

What have you found to be your favorite gun? The famas doesn't work for shit IMO, not like it did in MW2 anyway. I have found my best like with the AK74u. The pistols seem to work a lot better than in MW2 as well, the revolver being the best that I have used (cannot remember it's name).

I have heard that the Galil is a good gun, I have yet to unlock it.

I used to use the FAMAS, M16 and Scar in MW2, so I figured I'd start off with the M16. Which was pretty bad. Then I switched to the FAMAS, which is ever worse.

I unlocked the Galil a couple of levels ago and it is pretty good.

Been using a build with Warlord and a Galil with dual mags and the reflex scope for most of the time.

I recently started screwing around with the attachements a bit and I'm now testing a Galil + Reflex scope and suppressor. And it's been working great.

The suppressor is supposed to make your range go down a bit, but since I've equipped it, I've been getting way more long shot kills. Just like I did in MW2. I think it tunes the recoil down a lot or something.

Or it might just be something mental. I have no idea.
