Well we needed some help at LB as far as depth goes and these guys didn't cost us anything. I was just hoping to see at least two of our PUP guys get activated this week even though there is still one roster spot open right now. We need help and healthy bodies anywhere we can get them. Simpkins wasn't a huge cut and I wouldn't mind seeing him added back to the practice squad.

Edit: I guess we signed a 3rd LB to take up the last open spot on the 53-man roster. LB Erik Walden formerly of the Dolphins.

I guess that means no one from the PUP will be activated this week.

I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these guys cut to make room for a Harris or Bigby at the end of the week, they have the luxury right now to take an extended look at these guys before having to make any decisions by what, Saturday at 4pm or so?

So why not sign them, put them through a couple practices and see how it goes, its really a no-risk situations, if thats what they're doing.

With Brad Jones now on the IR list there was a slot for all three LBs. I think GB can still bring back one of the PUPs without releasing anyone.

You I keep thinking of these tv and radio guys, Fomo included, who claim that all the other teams have as many injuries as GB does.

Right

Yeah I honestly can't remember ANY team putting this many players on IR, so it really gets old with the "every team has injuries" thing. Yes every team has injuries, no every team does NOT have like 15 players on IR. sheesh

Edit: Is there some place to view the current IR list?

Jones to IR, Howard Green claimed from jets.

We signed him and he's a spy for the Jets. He's informing the Jets of our defensive schemes.

I hope we signed him because we think he can play. it's been nuts how the last few years, and especially this year how many players are getting signed the week that the new team plays their old team.
