I was at game so never seen it..

Can someone explain what happened?

I am getting different stories...One it was during t/o

one it was right after a play

I DID see him with it off near Viking sideline near end of game, but do not know why

In the highlight video by Zero2Cool, it looks like his chin strap got knocked up into his face. I saw this happen to him a bunch of times last night. I think he finally got fed up with it.

It wasn't on the facemask play...he disenganged from the line and was running to the middle of the field to chase down the play.

It appeared that his helmet was sliding off/blocking his vision...but he was still lucky to get away with a penalty. Though I'll admit, it looked pretty bad ass having him whip that thing off and chase down the play :thumbleft:

It wasn't on THAT facemask play, but he got chokeholded and facemasked multiple times, so it could've been a possibility that that was the reason for his helmet blocking his vision.

Like I said, more speculation than anything else.

I agree with that explanation. Take a look at this photo of Matthews almost sacking Favre:

His chin strap is clearly over his mouth.

I say he wanted to lead with his head/hair for a tackle without getting suspended.

clay was frustrated over having his facemask grabbed all night. his helmet was crooked on his head after having it grabbed, he just threw it off and ran and made a play.

But by the rules that should have been a 15 yd flag, I wonder if this will be explained why it wasn't. He took it off not like someone else did it. Just another thanks to the refs 🙂 I am sure our o-line was mugging the Vikes also but of course noone will admit to that.

To me we got a gift from the refs and that was that.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

You need to come up with a new special rank for dhazer.
maybe "Resident Curmudgeon". But then that might give other curmudgeons a bad name. :blackeye:

lol totally agree, Z. Hey hazer, you wanna take away from anyone else's good night? I'm sure Bishop tackled the receiver and that was the only reason he picked off Brent's pass.
