So much has been put on McCarthy that his teams couldn't come through and play a complete, 4 quarter game. Well, IMO, this was it. Our offense moved up and down the field with no trouble the whole game. Our defense was sort of wobbly throughout, but in all, we played good.

Let's go down the list.

-Rodgers made 2 big mistakes on the interceptions and had communication problems with his receivers on back shoulder throws. But he played great other than that.

-James Jones stepped up.

-Greg Jennings had a good night.

-Our ILBers make a good combination, IMO. They both played great if you ask me. Each of them had an INT, and both were game / momentum changers.

-And I think Mike McCarthy has (our should have) silenced his critics for at least one more week. I loved his play calling throughout. I especially like the call on that "trick" fake field goal. Would have been 1st and goal if not a touchdown if Quarless didn't fall down. The team was very disciplined and really didn't have many penalties. The Green Bay Packers showed up tonight, men.

-On a sad note, Donald Driver's consecutive games with a reception has come to an end. He just wasn't healthy out there tonight. I'm sad to see it end.

-We came out of this game healthy. I didn't notice any major injuries.

-And most importantly, WE WON!!!.

We saw adjustments.

Bishop in short zone.

Kickoffs directed short of Harvin.

A more balanced approach to beating Cover 2.

There are still improvements that must be made, but our o-line and lack of penalties was marvelous.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Bulaga / Clifton.

They played GREAT. Bulaga showed tonight that he is capable of being a starter in this league. No need to panic, like I said last week. :thumbleft:

Really, our whole OLine played great.

Other than that, I liked what I saw. That deep throw down the field on third and 2 pissed me off, but whatever. The defense played lights out.
The entire team showed up for the full 60 minutes today. I was really glad to see that, even if the execution wasn't always there on offense.
Please MM, build on this.

I wonder if the people who say McCarthy has never won a big game will admit that this was a big game. I also wonder if they will give him credit for a gutsy call on the fake field goal.

The offense did fizzle a bit in the fourth quarter, but they fought hard. It was a total team effort for four quarters.

But at least they didn't go 3 and out. They at least made 1 or 2 first downs. Which is something they didn't do previously.

Always gotta think on the bright side, especially after a win like this. :thumbright:

Let's take this opportunity to recognize the shittiness of the Lambeau turf. But the actual team, they did well today. Props to MM and the boys, especially Capers and the defense.

Offense was up and down. Defense bent, but didn't break. S/T didn't lose it for us. We committed very few penalties.

Our team is so talented that that is all we have to do to win games. If we can play like this, we can beat any team. Great confidence booster for our team!

My only problem with the fake field foal is they took forever to get it off. If you're going to make a surprise play, you have to take advantage of the element of surprise. They telegraphed that play. Still, they came so close.

It was drawn up that way b/c once Flynn lined up, he sent one of the receivers in motion. It would have been a TD if Quarless didn't lose his feet.
