Despite the few on this forum, who have determined a long time ago that AJ Hawk can't play, AJ had a very solid day in week 6.
He led the team in combinations(tackles + assists) with 13. Followed by Peprah with 11(9 and 2), and Biship with 10(7 and 3).
I didn't have a chance to look at the replay yet, so I am basing my report from live action.
With all the injuries occuring AJ Hawk has become one of the few constants st linebacker, playing in every package as far as i could tell, did not see him sitting out, and IMHO Hawk is becoming one of the veteran leaders.
I'll say it every week, you want flash, don't look toward AJ Hawk, you want solid, above average, sometime exceptional play, AJ Hawk is the guy to watch.
He has become an important cog on a defense that has actually performe pretty damn well the last 2 weeks, despite the losses.
Just a note on the game. Once again this game turned on the play of special teams, and failure by the offense to generate any 1st downs in overtime.
Although the Packer punter had 2 great kicks during the game, he did not get off a good punt when needed in overtime, putting the defense in a must stop situation, which did not happen.
Field postion played a very large part in this Packer loss, seemed the Packers were always starting inside or close to their own 20 yard line, whereas The Dolphins many time took the possesion of the ball outside their own 35yd line.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!
