GREEN BAY While Aaron Rodgers post-concussion progress was certainly encouraging, the Green Bay Packers got precious little other good news on the injury front Thursday.
Rookie defensive end Mike Neal, who missed the seasons first three games with a rib injury, was added to the injury report with a shoulder injury that he initially suffered against Washington last Sunday. In line to start in place of injured defensive end Ryan Pickett (ankle), now Neals availability is in doubt after he sat out practice Thursday after struggling through Wednesdays workout.
Mike had a sore shoulder coming out of the game, didnt think much of it, and went out and practiced yesterday, and when he came in this morning he was struggling, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. Hes been evaluated, and actually theres going to be some testing and some rehab that was done this afternoon. I should know more about Mike in the morning.
If neither Pickett nor Neal can go Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, rookie C.J. Wilson or Jarius Wynn, who was released on the final cutdown and re-signed after Justin Harrells season-ending torn ACL, would start along with Cullen Jenkins and B.J. Raji.
