A thread about pictures of Favre's cock has turned into a religious/historical thread about sex with underaged people.
Where did we go wrong?

Well, perhaps people just aren't intersted in Favre's body parts. :)
But sex, well, that's hard not to find interest in.
Sorry, Finland, but I'm going to continue on the tangent rather than the original thread...
Here's a possible reason why God might care....
IMO, the biggest problem God has with us is our capacity and willingness to commit idolatry. The real problem with certain sexual practices is that they are idolatrous. The line between appreciation of beauty and idolatry can be real. And sex can very easily become both idolatry of others (the beautiful woman/man) or idolatry of self (see my big...) [hmm, maybe I'm still on the original topic after all].
And perhaps this is especially so with the young. Paying attention to the Great Commandment is really an adult thing. Sex is a natural biological process, that is so. But its also a psychological process (we don't just copulate, we have feelings of happiness, power, rejection, etc) depending on how the sex goes/doesnt go. And because its psychological, and because at 12 or 15 or whatever "cutoff age" you might specify as "still young" people are insufficiently ready to weigh the idolatry bit with the adrenaline/erection bit.
I guess what I'm saying is that it isnt the "sex" that is the sin. Its the mental state that determines its sinfulness. And it's that mental state that God's worried about. Because its the mind, not the dick, that pulls us away from Him.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
