So I thought Lynch to the Packers was a good fit and made a post about it. Sure enough, there clearly was some interest. So I thought of another name....

Willis McGahee.

I know, he's not the same player he once was. But he's better than Brandon Jackson IMO. He could also be had pretty for a cheap price. The market has been set. A 4th rounder gets it done.

He's powerful and a one cut and go type of RB. I think a combination of him and Kuhn could wear down defenses late in the game if the Packers need to run out the clock.

I guess my point is he's an option.

I'm just thowing this out there. Everyone seems to want the Packers to make a move. With Lynch off the market, McGahee makes the most sense.

I was doing the same thing last night a couple of other names came to mind..

Ronnie Brown/Ricky Williams.. if the Fins continue to tailspin.. it would not surprise me if one of them moves.

Or how about a Caddy from Tampa with Blout looking solid and Graham already established.. injury risk but talented.

I would be interested in McGahee, but not for a 4th. No way. It'd have to less than that but certainly an interesting option.

What would you think of us picking up Jamaal Charles? Laugh now, but wait a couple weeks.

Porky - His longest rush this year is 10 yards. Kuhn's is 18.

Running Backs have always scared me because when they lose it, they lose it all at once.

I was wrong about LT. But I'm usually right. Once a RB starts going downhill, it's over.

I'm not a cynical person. Except when talking about RBs.

I'd laugh out of joy if we'd get him.

Normally I'd say that there's no way. He's one of the up-and-coming guys in the league. We don't yet know if he can be a 300 carries per year back, but he's been very impressive in the amount of time that he's been given.

That said, it's Scott Pioli's team. For some reason, he uses Charles as a change of pace back, with Thomas Jones carrying the load. I can see how you want that pounding runner as your main guy, but when you have a guy as talented as Jamaal... Maybe he just doesn't see it that way.

And that could work in the favour of a team trying to make a trade for him.

I still think that it's going to cost too much for Ted, though. I'd pull the trigger if I could get him for a 2nd, which should be a decently late 2nd rounder in our case. Even if he can't carry the load fully, he'll be an amazing change of pace guy when Grant does come back next year.

I'd like to give Julius Jones a shot. He wouldn't cost anything but money. Alot easier than getting a player that is on a roster.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
