The Bucks are looking like they will have a really good team this year.

Jennings is a year older and more experienced. Bogut is back and healthy and should continue to be one of the top three centers in the league. Then we have brought on Maggette and Gooden; two solid veterans and proven scorers (Maggette 19 and Gooden 10 a game) in the NBA.

Oh and did I mention John Salmons who has not exactly been a slacker.
Scoot Skiles is an amazing coach and we should be a good, no GREAT, defensive team this year. I see this team very similar to the Spurs right before they went on their run in the past decade (minus a David Robinson). Great defense with an offense that is not too shabby either. Bogut and Gooden inside should really cause problems for anybody trying to drive and they will be gobbling up tons of rebounds.

I am soo very pumped for this season. Thoughts.

I'm interested in Jennings' development. The kid has the kind of swagger the Bucks haven't ever had. The have a very good compliment of role players and their D has dramatically improved. Should be a good season. I see them as one of the top 3 in the east, but you know Miami will get all the calls in crunch time. It's pretty sad what the commish has allowed to happen.

I'm still pissed about the foul discrepency against the Sixers in the conference finals when we had the big three.

This year I'm excited about the upcoming basketball season in a new way. That's right, I'm actually looking forward to watching the Bucks. Did you know that under Herb Kohl as owner (since '82) the Bucks have had only one winning season? They also have had two seasons at .500. But finally it looks like we have something to be proud of. I don't usually consider myself a fairweather fan or a bandwagon jumper but I have never had hope for the Bucks before. This feeling I have is new.

My only problem is that I don't want to get too excited. A lot happened in the off-season for all the teams in the NBA and it's going to drastically effect what we see. I hope Jennings keeps getting better and can actually up his FG% a bit. Maybe get his jumper going. I'm also happy to see another perimeter and FT threat come in the form of Maggete. If all bodes well he could end up winning 6th man of the year. I also think the acquisition of Jon Brockman is underrated. The guy is the type of bench player you want--plays with heart and ferocity and pumps everyone else on the team up. I just hope we don't get too high on ourselves.

Bob.. I happen to agree with you from the pure basketball sense.. without much a thought about it.

But Jennings is like a magnet.. and I have to admit I watched more NBA ball last season than probably in a decade.

Yea um, it was supposed to say (since '92) instead of (since '82). Herb Kohl didn't even buy the team until '85 :D

I read it in an article anyway, I really should have checked it before I posted. Including last season the Bucks have had only 4 winning seasons since 1992 (one was last year and two of which were 42-40 seasons, not exactly a "winning" team).

Needless to say I'll take the fault here and I appreciate you pointing out my error and neglect.
