This is the thing we have to overcome and really the thing is all we need to do is set up the pass that's all.I mean we do not need Jackson to break out big runs like AP to have a good running game.To this sense im having we need to have a little more carries even if the running game isn't working. We need to be closer to balanced than pass pass pass pass run pass pass etc. etc. you get my drift.I would like to see at least 15 carries a week by Jackson. The thing that bothered me was that they started using kuhn on the first snaps of the game.

It'd be interesting to see how Starks is doing, right now. How has his rehab been?

Would make for a great story, for him to come in week 6 or 7 and run wild ala 2007 Ryan Grant. But that's all a fantasy, most likely.

The thing that was great about Ryan Grant was that the guy NEVER got tackled for a loss. He might not have been a great receiving back, but he always gain positive yards.

Jackson routinely got stopped behind the LOS last night, setting up longer 2nd and 3rd downs for the offense. Kuhn will never be a threat to break a long run. That is why we struggled last night.

You'd think, but the same thing happened with Gado as well. RB is the one position where relative unknowns can really shine most frequently.

yeah he always made sure he was tackled for no gain.

The Bears run defense is incredible this year. I rate it slightly above the Steelers as best in the NFL. We don't have a good run blocking run line as it stands either.

The pass WAS working for us last night. Jones forgot to switch hands and protect the ball, and several vets forgot to put on their big boy pants.

I'd rather see more screens to Jackson than carries. He gets tackled for a loss.

Kuhn's good for pounding for a few yards and making defenders hurt afterward.

I'm perfectly fine with 70% pass/30% rush. Balance is silly nowadays that the rules have changed to make passing so favorable.

Our O is fine. Take away those penalties and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Let's not forget about all the big plays we had that got called back due to penalties. We'd be talking about a completely different game and everyone will be saying how awesome our O is.

I just don't get all of the people complaining who expected us to have an established running game last night vs a team that has given up 1.0 and 1.8 ypc in their 2 other games this year.

Top if off with the fact that they have a bad pass defense and we have a very good pass offense.

...We will not be a SuperBowl Caliber team. IMHO no team has ever won the Super Bowl without a well balanced running/passing game and right now we have no running game, nor will Mike McCarthy alllow one to develop. I am not sure what it is with this guy, but every season it's the same M.O.
with him.

Actually, they had a top ten running offense. Not nearly as bad as people think in that department.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
