I just read that Kevin Williams and Ray Edwards both have knee injuries and did not practice all week. They are "likely" to play according to Chili but thats a huge loss if they are not 100%. Edwards had 3 1/2 sacks last week I think?

Plus Percy Harvin and those migraines. He did not practice either. I wonder if that is why he got picked later in the draft out of fear about these migraines. You can't do anything and now they have popped up at the worst time.

Personally I think if those 3 guys are not playing or not 100%, Vikes have very little chance for the upset in the Superdome. If this was in Minny, fine, but the Vikings are 4-4 on the road, they need all hands on deck.

Formo, worried?

It had to happen eventually. They've been blessed by not getting too many injuries throughout the year (Winfield and Henderson), now it's hitting them at the worst possible moment.

I don't think that it'll be that big of a problem when Edwards is out. If you ask me, he's been benefitting from the play on the rest of the D-line. The Matt Cassel of the DEs, if you will.

Kevin Williams, on the other hand, would be a huge hit. For a DT, especially with the weigth he has, he's an amazing pass rusher. Pat is a good DT, but doesn't do a whole lot more than stumbling into the QB once or twice per year.

Percy Harvin would be quite a blow, as well. Both on offense and special teams.

Eventually, I think that all 3 of them will play. Harvin has had migraines all year long and has played in most of the games. Williams is practicing and Edwards will be back.

Although it would be interesting to see Allen - Kennedy - P. Williams - Robison on the field.

I've been worried about this matchup ever since seeing the Saints go undefeated for so long. So, of course I'm worried now.

But not just because of the injuries. Ray Edwards had 3 sacks last week, yes.. But it was his coming out party.. Kevin Williams needs to play like he did last week.. the other DE opposite of Allen will need to show up and play, whether it's Ray or Brian or whoever.

I'm not worried so much about Harvin. He's missed practice more than a few occasions this year and had played in games. And played well, too. So, I'm thinking that him not practicing this week was more precautionary than anything else.

I feel sorry for Harvin. I get migraines all the time, and i can't imagine what it would be like to try to play ANYTHING, let alone a contact sport like football with a migraine.

I also get migraines. They have affected my entire lifestyle so every time I heard about Harvin's issues I had sympathy.
