My wife got me a little video camera, and i tried it out last night. What i did was record my semi final performance at last year's "Ozaukee Idol" contest. I recorded it off the TV of the tape my wife shot with my old camera. So it's not the best quality, but it worked. Gave me a "test run" of how to download on "Youtube". And i surprised the heck out of myself by actually accomplishing it! LOL!
So....here it is.....me singing "Folsum Prison Blues".

When I try to sing that song, I have to sing it in G, because my voice can't quite get low enough to sing it in E. I agree with the judges when they say you have a really strong, and GREAT voice.

First, to Ironman: In the last few years, my voice has dropped ALOT. I couldn't hit the low notes on that song either. But now, it's no problem. Of course it came with a trade off, as I can't hit nearly as high of notes as I used to. (I knew you'd like "Folsum Prison Blues!")

And Formo.....it took my computer an hour and 15 minutes to download that 5 minute clip! But hey, i'm not complaining! At least i did it right!

I'm willing to bet that it wasn't your computer's speed, but your upload speed from your ISP that causes the long upload. To be fair, I don't think I've uploaded a 5 minute video.. and if I did, it would have been MUCH lower quality.

"ISP?" I don't even know what that is! (Not kidding!) I know NOTHING about computers, other then what little i have learned "as I go".
Thats also why it's hard for me to change to a "card" from a "tape" in a camera. I know NOTHING about video cards and the like.

Sorry. ISP = internet service provider (who you pay for your internet, basically).

Digital cameras are significantly easier to handle (with memory cards) than the tape/film cameras. I love being able to shoot a day's worth of pictures, take my camera and card to Target, pop it in to the digital computer, and have my pictures 'developed' (really, printed) as I shop in Target. The amazing 'One Hour Photo' turned into a 10 minute photo.

THANKS for the info Formo! My wife says thank you too! She felt bad that she got a gift that pooped me out so much, trying to learn, since i haven't been feeling too good. She came home from work and could see it tired me out. She thought it was too much for me to learn. The CD that came with it has 143 pages of info. VERY over whelming.
I know my camera also can be used to take photos, but i didn't think of being able to take the card out and have the photos printed at Target.
