The local FOX affiliate and Time Warner can't get along. That means no more Packer games for around the two hundred thousand or so of us in that area.

Something I found funny. Time Warner uses Packers players in their commercials. Nick Barnett, Donald Driver and formerly William Henderson that I can recall.

I just watched a commercial that had both Nick and Donald in it and I had to laugh at the irony.

Turn off your cable and use an antenna to get the channel in. That's what I would do, but I have dish so I don't have to worry.

Seriously, where I live, I can only get one station through an antenna, and if Fox !! is not broadcasting the game, I don't see why it would matter if you used an antenna rather than cable anyway. Maybe I'm missing something here.

To get HD I use a HD Antenna already so it doesn't affect (or effect?) me at all. I might be getting Dish Network (bias, used to work there for four years) because of the nice HD package they got going on.


edit, it was a bit weird turning on FOX and getting the Time Warner message saying that FOX is being greedy. I just don't get how FOX worked things out with Charter, DirecTV, Dish Network, etc but they can't with Time Warner.

I've been reading more about this, and now I'm not so sure that I won't be able to watch today's game. It sounds like maybe this only affects people who live in Green Bay and the surrounding area. I'm way up north, in Michigan. I guess I won't know what's going on until I turn on my TV at 1:00 (we're on Eastern Time up here).
