I mean this year we pretty much had a feeling it was going to end something like this and even surprised most of us the play of the defense overall considering the new transition.

Let's all agree a lot of us did raise are expectations at the end of the year.

Now that the team got a glimpse of experience in a playoff game and a complete year of 3-4 defense. Are Packer fans expectations for the 2010 year very high?

My expectation is for next year:

Division win - 1 week bye (finishing 2nd in NFC) - 12-4 or 11-5

At least* SB appearance.

How about you guys?

Just because we made the playoffs this year, it doesn't automatically put us back in the playoffs next season.

We have a lot of talent, no doubt; but we also have a lot of work to do this off season.

We made the playoffs because we earned it. We will have to earn it again next season.

I thought this team was going to at least get past the Cardinals. Still a bit hard to fathom...

My prediction is that next year, Green Bay wins the NFC North. Anything more than that, and I'm not sure. But, I believe in my heart that this team can and will win the North.

Wait, making the playoffs this year doesn't mean we're automatically in next year? HOLY SHIT, I'm done being a fan, I can't handle this nonsense!

I think the Packers win the division next year and I think we surprise a lot of teams with how far we go.

The Packers will win a Super Bowl in the next year or few years. I can feel it.

I don't see us beating the Vikings next year. Not if Williams and Favre do indeed come back. Add in a rookie safety and that team is scary.

Depending on how we'll draft and how much impact our rookies will make on defense, I think we'll either just miss the play-offs or sneak in like we did this year.

We'll be in the Playoffs. I'll bet my liquor collection on that.

The question is how far we'll go. Our D as is isn't ready for prime time. We simply won't go too far in the Playoffs. That said, '09 was a transition year. Iron out the kinks and we're going to have a better D than last year.

On O, I see a bigger role for Finley. I also see another #2 RB, one who is dangerous with screens. Or, we develop Grant into a more "all-purpose back" who gets more screen yardage.

The D needs help in the middle. I don't know if it's 3-4 newbie confusion or personnel. We also need to generate more pressure. CM3 is part of the puzzle, but if you look at the Vikings yesterday, they sacked with everyone and their grandma. We're going to need to generate more sacks. Sacks are drive killers and that's how you take out a top tier QB. I don't put Romo at top tier yet, but he's close.
