Should we of had went for the TD or you guys think the FG was a good idea?

BTW great experience for this young teams.

I liked the call. I wish an penalty would reset the time on the clock, but with a horsecollar, it doesn't. We had to come away with some points there, as we where struggling quite badly.

In hindsight - it was the right call. We were down by 21 at one point and ended up in overtime - so we needed those points. We don't get points there, we don't even get to overtime.

Take the sure points... No gurantee we score a TD on the play.

Holmgren used to say that in the redzone, there is no excuse for not coming away with any points.

At that point in the game, you had to have some positive. A FG made it a two-score game, and you can go in and say if (as a coach) we're on par with the Cards, except the turnovers.

I can't blame the call...

A smart call to make it a 2 score game. We needed something there and it kept us within striking distance at the time.

Better use of time outs could have given them another play before resorting to a FG. However going with the scenario that they had 4 seconds, the FG was pretty much the "gimme" to end the half with another score.

How? They didn't know there would be a horsecollar tackle. Normally, it would've been a fairly long 4th and goal with 4 seconds left. The perfect position for a field goal.

Still to far IMO to go. Had the penalty dropped us to the 1 or inside maybe.
