Jets beat Bengals, 24-14.
Impressions:
JETS: Not flashy on offense, but they got the job done. Used some misdirection, made things easy for Sanchez. I still have a hard time seeing them beating the Chargers or Colts next week, though.
BENGALS: Punchless. It seemed like all the wind went out of their sails when Chris Henry died. This did not look like the same team that beat the Packers in week two.
Darelle Revis: He was awesome. Shut down Ochocinco. Got an interception. Called for two penalties, both of which were questionable at best.
Carson Palmer: He was absolutely putrid. A few years ago, he was considered to be one of the top five QB's in the league. In this game, he looked like a scrub.
Bengals kicker: Probably out of a job. Had a problem with the right hash mark, just like Crosby a few weeks ago.
Announcers: I've always hated Theismann, but he was okay, for the most part. I'm glad I don't have to listen to him every week. Once a year is just about right. I didn't think Joe Gibbs added a whole lot to the telecast. He got in the way of the other guys at times.
