DEFENSE: CB CHARLES WOODSON, GREEN BAY PACKERS
Woodson tied for the NFC lead with three interceptions and had an NFL-best two interception-return touchdowns during September. All three of his interceptions came in the fourth quarter and each one resulted in a Packers' touchdown. Against Detroit in Week 2, Woodson sealed the victory with a pair of fourth-quarter interceptions, including one he returned 41 yards for a score. In Week 4, the 11-year veteran had a 62-yard interception-return touchdown against Tampa Bay to give the Packers a fourth-quarter lead.

In his 11th year from Michigan, this is Woodson's first career Player of the Month Award. He is the second consecutive Packer to be honored on defense (ATARI BIGBY, December 2007) and the first cornerback in franchise history to win the award. Bigby and Woodson are the only Packers defensive backs to be honored.

Amen. He's easily been our best FA pickup since Reggie...

If not for Woodson, we probably would have lost the Detroit game, too.

Sweet.

Now, the rest of the Pack needs to look up to Woody, Kampy, and Gregorious. Those 3 are bringing it. It seems like the rest of the team, especially the OL, is asleep at the wheel.

The beauty of him getting 2 INTs for TDs in one month is that's better than 99% of the rest of the NFL's CBs will get all year.

Good job! He definitily deserves it. Playing through the injury...But not just playing through it. But playing very well. Guy is great.

Woodson is by far the smartest player we have in our defense, he knows most of the plays he can read the QB signals and eyes and jump routes.
Most of his penalties have been smart preventing a big play or a TD (the ball can run past you, the player not)

He is so smart sometimes he seems to be lazy, when he knows the play is not about him he usually just jogs around the field looking bored.

I have a crazy idea on my mind shifting Woodson to Safety to play along with Bigby. Assuming we get two quality CBs, that will be a heck of a secondary and will remind me of the Butler years in GB.

Woodson will eventually play out his career as a Safety. He's too good right now though. He pretty much takes out the #2 WR, and he's getting us a lot of INTs.
