Interview with dfosterf:
Well, you did something very surprising. You showed everyone that, even though you didn't make the playoffs, you still deserved to. What does that mean to you?I don't know if I "deserved to" or not, but I do know that I never quit trying to win...just as much for my fellow ff players as for myself. To be honest, I don't think it is very nice to sign up and then "bag" it, just because things didn't go your way. It's an opinion.
What or Who do you blame most for you not getting into the playoffs? My boy Frank Gore got hurt on me at a critical time, coupled with that PIECE OF SHIT Kurt Warner and his mamby-pamby mid-way through 2nd qtr so-called concussion, and then F#CKING me by saying he was going to play, only to F#CKING...well, you get the point, lol.
How will this experience help you next year? This was my first year of doing this. I learned what positions are the most important to draft, and when. I really did pay attention to the results of my decisions..especially the dumb ones. I also did a lot of waiver/add/drops throughout the season...I learned a lot.
Who was your MVP and why?I had a lot. Like I said, I did a lot of adding and subtracting, my most timely was probably getting Jamaal Charles off the waiver wire.
Who was your MWS (Most Worthless Starter) and why?Greg Olsen of the Bares was a pretty high draft pick, and he didn't do all that much, but my most worthless starter was the Steelers Defense. They underperformed all year.
Who do you think should have been out of the playoffs and in place of that team you would have been?Anybody that wasn't actively participating...I drafted 17th, and in a 20 team league anytime you draft late in the first, you BETTER be trying to improve over the course of the season, imo.
Your arch-rival, the Ted Thompson DESTROYERS, never got a chance to play you. Does that make you mad? Did he really deserve that trophy? That's part of the fun, actually. David and I go back all the way to Packerchatters, and I enjoy messin' with him. We really do like each other, and the fact that we are both in Pennsylvania just adds to it. The fact that I didn't play him is even better, as I have a whole year of potential smack to work with, even though I finished way back in the pack.
I blame his victory on you guys, lol
Do you think you will be a better team next year?Oh, hell ya. I'll know what I'm doing in the draft, next time around.
Thanks for your time! Any final notes?I really did enjoy it, and would only ask that everyone try and help make it better by at least trying to come up with more trades...And a shout-out thanks to Rourke for being the one guy that DID trade with me---Our trade was almost perfectly even, as it worked out...
Good stuff, Thanks everyone for the experience. Thanks again, Ninja, you did a VERY nice job on the official ESPN PackersHome ff league!
(You were invited to join my team repeatedly, Kev, so below me, lol)
