Also, I would like your avatar MUCH more if there weren't a couple of goons sitting in the front row blocking the scenery :)

why wouldn't you want to play the vikings again, iron?

Why would you want to be the 6 seed, when as a 5 seed, there is a chance we could host the NFC Championship game at home? I don't care about the Vikings. I don't have an axe to grind with Favre. I'm over it. He's not a Packer any more. Life goes on.

We'd still be a 5th seed if we played the Viqueens.

Winning breeds winning. I say we play to win, and not worry about the next week.

I say play to win. Look at the faces of Colts players last week when they got benched. I think that these guys wanna fight, they wanna keep that buzzsaw mentality. My take is, let your berserkers berserk. Give these Cards a whippin, get in their heads so that they know that we're gonna be back in their house next week to do it again.

I think we can put the fear into Kurt Warner, and I like our D when they're playing confident, especially ChuckWood

For one, it is very difficult to beat one team three times in a single season. History works against the Vikings.

Well, actually, its not that difficult.

Since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, there have been 18 times when a team went into a playoff game with a chance to complete a three-game season sweep, according to STATS, Inc. Those teams are 11-7. Here are the previous matchups, with the team that won both regular-season games listed first, along with the postseason result:

1989 Houston Oilers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Lost
1991 Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Raiders Won
1992 Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Diego Chargers Lost
1993 Los Angeles Raiders vs. Denver Broncos Won
1994 Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Lost
1994 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Won
1997 New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins Won
1997 Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Won
1998 Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals Lost
1999 Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Won
2000 New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles Won
2002 Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Won
2004 St. Louis Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks Won
2004 Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings Lost
2007 Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Lost

I don't think much of that stat, either pro or con..the whole 3 time thing.

It gets whipped out by some, debunked by others, and is, as I said, relatively meaningless.

That's right, along with a myriad of factors.

Just ask the Bears. The Vikings destroyed them earlier in the year. How'd that work for the Vikes Monday night?

There is plenty to worry about from ALL of our potential adversaries. The downsides of playing the Vikes are many, but that is just as true of any of the others.

I'm going with the "Fuck that, fear US, bitches!" theory, because that's how I like to roll.
