Star of Clueless and Girl Interrupted, and the recognizable voice of Luanne in King of the Hill, Brittany Murphy died early this morning of cardiac arrest. TMZ is reporting that Murphy, 32 years old, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her mother found her unconscious in the shower.

Paramedics performed CPR after responding to a 911 call made on December 20, 2009, from a home belonging to Simon Monjack, her husband. She was pronounced dead at the hospital of cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County Coroner's office will be conducting an investigation.

Brittany Murphy was also well known for her voice role as Luanne Platter on the long running (226 episodes) animated film/sit-com, King of the Hill. Luanne is Peggy Hill's niece. Sensitive and a bit of an airhead, her conflicts most often stem from her inability to think for herself and her naivet, which allows others to take advantage of her. She follows a very implicit pattern in the men she dates, which are usually all the wrong kinds. She came to live with the Hills after her mother, Leanne, was sent to prison for stabbing Luanne's father (Peggy's brother) with a fork. Her full name is Luanne Leanne Platter, as heard on the episode "Edu-macating Lucky. 1997-2009. In late 2002, Murphy began dating Ashton Kutcher, her co-star in Just Married.

King of the Hill aired on Rhode Island's FOX tv.

Why the hell is there more of a synopsis of her Luanne Platter character than information about Brittany Murphy.

In any case, a real tragedy.

Yeah, that's pretty weird.

Didn't know her very well (in a celebrity way), but when stuff like this happens, it's always tragic.

I wonder what's behind it this time.

It's gotta be drugs. That's the main cause of cardiac arrest in women that age.

I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions.

If this is true, though, this is yet another drug related celebrity death. After the 80s, Belushi and the publicity it got in that era, you'd think that, at least, the '00 generation of celebrities would've wisened up a little.

Again, tragic, and drugs might not be the cause of death.

At that young age, there was probably something. Unless she had some kind of defect they didn't know about. An anurism or something.

Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.

beast (10-Mar) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (10-Mar) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
buckeyepackfan (10-Mar) : Zach Tom could be a really good guard, an all pro tackle, but probably be a HOF Center. Who said that?
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : It's March 10th. I don't think anything is done.
Martha Careful (10-Mar) : if we think CB is done, we have a poor roster
