There is one universally known cure for a quick recovery from surgery....

Copious amounts of Lutefisk!

Bwaahaaaa!

Seriously Shawn, I am very glad that your surgery went well. Just don't push your recovery too hard.....I know that you are guy that likes to push, but just don't over do it!

One other bit of advice, and you can take this as gospel...

If you are going to spend a lot of time online during the day, take all of the drugs that you can!
The only way to deal with an entire day of dfosterf's inane ramblings is in a drug induced stupor!
I'm guessing that he might even make some kind of sense .....if your brain is fried ::wink:

These pain pills they have today.. at least the ones I have been given do very little. Now that nerve block they put in.. that was wicked..

Seriously though.. I think they may have given me a placebo for pain killers.. little effect.

And yes.. the Lutefisk is on the schedule here.. a wager is a wager. 😉

I'm always amazed at how little blood there is in a surgery. They do an excellent job of clamping off the blood vessels.

There are different pain pathways, different kinds of pain. Not every pain medication will work for every kind of pain. Also, a lot of pain is psychosomatic: if you don't believe the medication is going to work for you, it definitely won't. Back in the 1970s, they did research in which they would tell patients going through surgery that they had received anaesthetic, even when they hadn't, and patients would report virtually no pain; they would tell other patients that they hadn't received anaesthetic, even though they had, and they would scream in agony through the entire procedure. They came to the conclusion that at least 50% of the effect of anaesthetics is purely placebo.

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
