Good for them! They'll be paying through the nose to retain these players in coming months. 😃

If I were GM.. TRADEBAIT.

At least, that's how I can churn out Super Bowl victory after Super Bowl victory in Madden.. I don't even play the games, either.

No, it's not.

In the AFC, people are pretty honest in filling out the roster spots.

In the NFC, the Vikings are this years' Redskins.

I think it's a disgrace.

Shut down fan voting, if you ask me.

Pro Bowl voting

The Packers dont have anyone among the leading vote-getters in the fan vote for the Pro Bowl. The fans, coaches and players each count for one-third of the total vote.

Charles Woodson ranks second among cornerbacks, just a few thousand votes behind Philadelphias Asante Samuel. A.J. Hawk ranks third among inside linebackers. Aaron Rodgers is a distant third among quarterbacks behind Drew Brees and Brett Favre. Brees has 1,120,535 votes less than 400 votes more than Favre.

Atari Bigby ranks fourth among strong safeties, Nick Collins ranks fourth among free safeties, John Kuhn ranks fourth among fullbacks and Desmond Bishop ranks fourth among special-teamers. Clay Matthews ranks fifth at outside linebacker and Mason Crosby is fifth at kicker.

Voting continues until Dec. 21 at NFL.com. The Pro Bowl teams will be announced on Dec. 29.

I'd rather have the entire starting NFC lineup consist of Vikings, while our guys are relaxing and drinking maitais. Let the Vikings absorb the exorbitant costs of paying for Pro Bowlers.

And I'd just like to enjoy a Pro Bowl where I can see the best players in the league play a nice game of football. Just without thinking about the finances for five seconds.

I want to see Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson, Nick Collins etc. get what they deserve.

Do you really think that these players wouldn't want any money if they didn't go to a Pro Bowl? I'm pretty sure that we've paid Rodgers big time, already, and that Nick Collins will want a big deal regardless of another Pro Bowl selection.

On the other side, maybe this can get us players. If you see that a team has quite some individual talent, you're more likely to join them. If we get a great speaker like Rodgers over there, he can do some of that recruiting that everyone was so high about last year.

Looking at the numbers and the impact players have had I think Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson, and Nick Collins are solid for the Pro Bowl. Assuming they carry, two free safties? Darren Sharper will start for the NFC for sure.

Ryan Pickett is a Pro Bowl worthy player this year, but the tackle position is four-deep in the NFC. I would put Darnell Docket, Kevin Williams, and Jay Ratliff as the three NFC guys. Pat Williams would be the top alternate. Pickett the 2nd if they have one.

Donald Driver has a outside chance at making it because he's the most popular Packer player and the fans will come out and vote for him. He's also been solid this year, but DeSean Jackson, Larry Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, Margues Colston, Steve Smith, and Sidney Rice are probably ahead of him.

I'm not sold on Austin though, but Dallas fans always get their guy in.

The last guy that I think has as solid as a chance at making it is Clay Matthews. There are no Pro Bowl worthy outside linebackers in the NFC this year. Ware's numbers have fallen and Lance Briggs hasn't been that great this year. Honestly, I fill out the Pro Bowl ballot not as a fan, but as who deserves to go, and Clay Matthews was on my ballot.

If I had to guess right now, Green Bay would send four to the Pro Bowl this year with Driver as an alternate.

beast (6m) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (7m) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (8m) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (3h) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (4h) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (4h) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (6h) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (6h) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (6h) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (9h) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (10h) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (17h) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (17h) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (17h) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (18h) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Game not over yet
beast (18h) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (18h) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (18h) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (19h) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (20h) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (20h) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (20h) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21h) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (23h) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (23h) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : TD but another failed 2 pt conversion!
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Ravens still alive, but barely
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : Or not...BUT THAT CATCH BY NACUA
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : WE MAY HAVE BEEN PREMATURE KANATA
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Time to make dinner
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Ouch!!!! Dagger for the Eagles
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : DAGGER
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : pass plays
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Seems some of their passes are too deep. Reminds me of MLF as well.
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : Oren Burks with a clutch pass break up...I will now light myself on fire
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : a run on 2nd down and 17 from McVay? So that's where MLF gets it from!
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : Do or die time for the Rams
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Kicking field goals are impressive
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : Oh that might be a backbreaker
Mucky Tundra (19-Jan) : That's what I thought too, just wasn't sure
TheKanataThrilla (19-Jan) : Kicking doesn't make much sense
