I don't know if any of you saw Saturdays FCS semifinal game between Appalachian State and Montana, but if you did, and it looked cold and miserable.........it was!

I was again working my magic with the App. State cheerleaders on the sideline (part of my duties......someone's gotta do it) and I spent most of the game trying to find the heaters or a cheerleader who wanted to snuggle. About midway through the 4th quarter I told the cheerleaders they needed to make some noise for their crowd of followers, (all 75 of them) and get them fired up so ESPN cameras could get some shots.

One little cheerleader looked right at me and without batting an eyelash said, "It's too F _ _ _ I N G cold for that. I'm never going to get warm again. How can you stand this snow and cold?" Classic reply!

We ended up with a foot of snow and at the end of the game the windchill was minus 9 degrees. Balmy, if you ask me.

Montana won 24-17 and is playing Villanova this Friday night for the FCS championship. We're not going this year to Chattanooga....too much going on just before Christmas.

I watched the game on espn360.com. There were several guys in the stands that were shirtless. Stupid. I even saw one girl that had a sports bra on. Now that I didn't have problem with. :)

Anyway, I never did see the sideline reporter. Was it Erin Andrews?

They didn't have one for this game. Just the two guys in the booth. I was disappointed, but still got a field level view of the game. I understand that they (ESPN) had too many other things going on that needed reporters.

The guys and girls, there were 4 girls, that were shirtless were from the mens cross country team and the womens soccer team. They start in September going shirtless at the games. Like you said, stupid

THat's when you know you have officially become an "old person".
When you care more about being warm, then "looking good", it's happened. Ypu are OLD.
My wife made me aware of that last week when she saw me in my winter hat. "You look goofy" she said. I said, "Yeah.....but i'm WARM!"

Watching the D-I Championship game and pulling for MontanaBob's Grizzlies.

Who I am really impressed with is Marc Mariani. He is an awfully physical wideout for a six foot, 185 pound guy.

The field is drenched in rain right now. Kind of a sloppy game but fun to watch the non-BCS teams go at it.

Thanks GoPackGo, but they fell just short. I can't complain....there are 124 other FCS teams that would have loved to be there. Going 15-0 in a season is awfully hard...only 4 teams have done it in the past.

We're proud of them though.
12 Big Sky Conference Championships in a row
17 years in a row in the play-offs
24 winning seasons in a row
5 times in the last 10 years in the Championship game
119 wins since 2000....more than any other Div 1 school BCS or FCS.

Not too shabby.

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : Too bad camera's can't spot the ball as well.
Mucky Tundra (1-Apr) : So will the chain gang be gone completely or will they still be around as a backup or whatever?
Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : The method for measuring first downs in the NFL will switch from chain gangs to camera-based technology in 2025, the league announced.
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : A big step in the right direction. Just put in the college system is very very good.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : Touchbacks on kickoffs will now bring the ball to the 35-yard line.
beast (31-Mar) : It might of gotten more popular recently, but braiding hair (even men) in certain cultures goes back for centuries.
Martha Careful (30-Mar) : Is men braiding their hair a new style thing? Watching the NCAA men's tournament many players have done
Zero2Cool (29-Mar) : Ha. Well, it'd be nice for folks to reset their own password. Via validated email 😏
