Isn't it funny Jerry Jones is the one pushing for this the same year he opened his new stadium? You people must be blind to not think hes doing this to make his money and screw everyone else. What if he was still in the old stadium would he be doing this? I really don't think so.

Also if the Packers are top 10-15 in this we are still getting money from someone else so in a sense the only team really with a bitch was the top team.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Dhazer, it is believed that the Packers are third in the league in revenues. We are one of the biggest contributors to the fund, not a recipient from it.

Does anybody know where to find official team revenue information? I have heard everything from the Packers being a top 10 team to the #12 team to being a team that loses money. I have searched and have not found anything I would consider official, just lists on blogs and forums (not that those are bad, I just can't verify them  ).

From Mark Murphy's address regarding the GBP annual report:

My "for reference purposes" thread

Despite that drop in local revenues, the organization's overall revenue rose $6.6 million, from $241.3 million to $247.9 million, which Murphy expects will keep the franchise well into the upper half in the league rankings and therefore contributing to the revenue sharing pool. Last year's $241.3 million figure ranked 10th, and this year's ranking will be known sometime in the fall.

I wonder why I named it that.

Note the byline. That is the Green Bay Packers talking, not the media.

I want reparations for however many years this has gone on. I think Minnesota owes GB money.

This one I like. I laughed hard reading that one.

I am embarrassed that I didn't think of that.

So you're comparing the Vikings to a bunch of gutter whores wearing fur coats?

I wonder Favre is going to get paid the rest of his contract, not like he needs the money. We made him beyond wealthy.

This is a nakedly political move. Jones obviously supports it because that monstrosity he built generates a lot of money. The NFL would support it because it gives them leverage in negotiations for new stadium deals or failing that "justification" for relocating franchises. It's all about strengthening the cartel.

The excellent Andrew Brandt sheds some light.

(Another way for the league to get the upper hand on the Union in CBA negotiations).

Seems to be nothing but a CBA ploy at this point. All part of the negotiation process.

I think there are more teams that receive money than pay, so it doesn't make sense that a majority of owners would agree.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
