It would be amazing... If the Packers actually won the NFC North this year.

Hey.. I have seen some serious Viking collapses in my life. And... It is still mathematically possible after the Vikes loss to AZ tonight.

Anything can happen. Just ask the Steelers players tonight.

The problem is not the vikings loosing them all but us WINNING them all. That's the tricky part.

I was thinking exactly the same things as I was watching the game tonight.

If the Packers will all their remaining games, they will finish 12-4; if the Vikings lose 3 of their last four games, they will finish 11-5. It could very well happen. Obviously if Green Bay loses a game, Minnesota will have to go winless for the rest of the year.

Vikings remaining opponents:
Cincinnati
@ Carolina
@ Chicago
New York Giants

Wouldn't that be awesome. I wonder how series hendersons injury is. Thats a big hit to the vikings d

Arizona has a pretty easy road aside from GB in the final game, its possible they win out, MINN loses 2 of the next 4 and the vikes loose their first round buy by virtue of the head to head tie breaker.

Minn:
Cincinnati (9-3), at Carolina (5-7), at Chicago (5-7), N.Y. Giants (7-5).

Arizona:
San Francisco (5-7), at Detroit (2-10), St. Louis (1-11), Green Bay (7-4).

Unfortunately, that scenario has us loosing to Arizona. So amend that to Arizona going 3-1 down the stretch, the Vikings losing all of their remaining games, Green Bay winning out, Philly beating Dallas but losing to the Giants, and the NFC East winning all remaining games against non-division opponents. Suddenly, Green Bay wins the North at 12-4 and has a bye because Arizona and the NFC East winner would be 11-5. Dallas, New York, and Philly would all be 11-5 and Minnesota would be 10-6. Minnesota misses the playoffs! Hell, while we're at it let's have New Orleans lose out and finish 12-4 as well, giving us home field advantage for the playoffs due to the conference record tie breaker.

While I wouldn't shed a tear at that, fact remains in that scenario we go play the Vikings in the Metrodome.

I still would rather have Favre come out to the cold in Lambeau where he has been bad the past couple of years (in cold weather, not Lambeau).

Given the fact that Capers emphasizes shutting down the run, the cold may be the advantage we need to take out the Vikes.

As for the topic, it would be awesome. So much of the playoffs is getting hot at the right time.... like the Giants, and the Cards did .....

Love the optimism guys. But let's focus on beating the Ravens first? Don't forget that if the pack were to lose this game, we would be clinging to a tie for the 6th seed in the playoffs.

Winning the division would be awesome, duh, but I honestly don't care how we get in, as long as we get in. It's more important to be playing well and staying healthy going into the playoffs. We don't need to win the division to make a run at this thing, wildcard teams have a rich history of going very far in the playoffs 🙂

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife

Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
