Today I watched Vince Young play for the first time this year, and I know this is a small sample size against a good Colts defense, but I just didn't think he was very good. He couldn't make the more difficult NFL throws, like the fades into the end zone, and his decision-making was poor. He just looked very pedestrian out there. The Colts kept Chris Johnson under control and Young could not beat them.

I think the Titans still have a QB problem.

I've seem a few games this season. My opinion of him.... He is pretty good. I think he still may have some lingering confidence problems but I think he has the talent to be a very solid QB.

I think he's on the right road. Next year will tell a lot. I think he could be a hell of a game manager that comes up with big timely plays like McNair did. If he's serious about being great and busts his ass like all the other greats, i think he can be a good player that wins.

He's still young and with a little bit of playing time and some much needed maturity he could be a decent QB, albeit not a top-tier one.

Two things I thought were huge today:
- He overthrew two pivotal passes on fourth downs in the red zone and in the fourth quarter that really hurt his team.
- Nate Washington dropped a beauty of a throw in the first half that could have been a big-play touchdown in what was still a close game at the time.

The one thing I think Vince brings as a QB is a winning attitude. Sure, he may not be awe-inspiring as a passer but he can get enough done to win football games. He's usually pretty good in the clutch which you witnessed in the 2-minute drill before the end of the first half but the overthrows on fourth down were disconcerting.

If this team was his at the beginning of the season I don't think we would have witnessed the 59-0 Patriots debacle.

He's not "that good", he's showing a lot of improvement and looks like he could be hanging between top 10-15 his entire career, which may sound insufficient to us but for a lot of teams would be worth dying for.

Yeah, that sounds about right. If you want to win a championship, you usually want a QB who is better than that, but I think he could do it with the right players around him.

Nah. In the past 10 years, it's been proven that you can win the SB with an elite D and an average to good QB. Trent Dilfer, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisburger, Brad Johnson. That's 5 SBs since 2000 that weren't won with an elite QB. "Average to good" is good enough to win it all when you got the #1 D.

He needs some solid targets to be compared to the elite ones. Kenny Britt is one.

i may sound harsh here, but when he threw that interception and was on the sidelines, they showed him on the bench then all of a sudden in awful pain.It seemed to me he didnt want to get back in the game but then coaches were with him he was walking came back on the field, seems when he makes bad choices he wants out, sure that will change as he grows into a decent qb just dont think he'll be a great one.

Zero2Cool (1h) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (21h) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (21h) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
