Maybe these guys are just designated driving for JA, which would be a good thing, right?

I can see him demanding that everyone hurry the hell up before last call.

(Now Jeremy, you know I'm only kiddin' here..you know how I like to diss on Jared etc. :thumbleft: )

Eh.. I was gonna make mention of that. But, since it's been over 3+ years since the last infraction Allen had, I don't think he'll have any more issues.

At least he's getting to his meetings on time with those two as his designated driver. 🙂

You have to be kidding me?

This is similar to doing the same thing wrong your brother just got yelled at for days prior.

Man, it's a speeding ticket. Imagine if every time you said something politically incorrect, were mean to a person, had a driving infraction or did anything wrong that it was in the news and people were calling you a POS for it.

I didn't say he was a POS. I sure as hell won't be making excuses for these people. They make millions because of THE PUBLIC.

When I got a speeding ticket, my family and friends said I need to be more responsible and smarter.

And 'its just a speeding ticket', you should tell that to Jerome Brown and his pre teen nephew, afterall he was just speeding.

I am not trying to minimize it. But take a look at this.

http://www.trafficticketsecrets.com/speeding-ticket-facts.html

Over 100,000 people a day receive a speeding ticket

Thats over 41,000,0000 speeding tickets per year

There are 196,000,000 licensed drivers in America today

Ok, maybe I am trying to minimize it. Don't bring up Jerome Brown. Berrian and Peterson were not responsible for that. Also, the fact that guys make millions of dollars shouldn't mean that they have to be perfect or live up to everyone's expectations.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

Don't bring Brown up? Why? He was speeding and you're making it as if speeding is okay, since your stats prove its done often.

And you bring up stats that Berrian and Peterson are not responsible for.

I'm not saying he should be locked up for ten years, damn dude.

Peterson, it happens.
Berrian, to have it happen JUST after Peterson, to me that's very stupid. I would have to believe that Brad told the team, be more careful on the roads, after Peterson's ticket. At least, that's what coaches who care say.

Good point.

The only thing I would like to say is.. These tickets happened two days apart (the day before and day after the Bears game) and the second happened before the first became public knowledge. So Childress didn't had a chance to address the first case before the second happened. No one can realistically lay any blame of this on coaching. It's bad decision by the players. And that's all.

Peterson, Saturday.
Berrian, Monday.

Because this wasn't public, doesn't mean the coaching staff wasn't aware of it and spoke to the team about it. It also doesn't mean they DID either. I'm leaning towards, they knew it about the day of, and addressed the team. When your star player gets busted for doing 109mph, that's an opportunity to send a speech to the team about how important off field behavior is to the final stretch of the season.

If Berrian didn't know about Peterson's ticket, then okay, it's not as stupid. But if he did, and still got nailed for speeding, that's just stupid.

True, but we don't know if it was kept internal. So, making assumptions, either way, probably shouldn't be done.

But, you're right. Either way, dumb move by both AP and Berrian.

Where did I make an assumption? If I were to be forced to make an assumption, I'd have to make the one that says the coaching staff was aware of what happened the day of the incidents, or the following day.

It seems like you're just trying to find something, out of nothing, to argue about here, lol. I feel like a married, couple, "honey, yes you're right ... but if this that and this other thing, you're wrong". I ain't doing the catching either!!
