What happened to all the hype on "Big Grease" being the most disruptive run stopper in the game....Have i even heard his name called on one run stop in the last two weeks?

Correct. All I kept hearing about in preseason was how much depth we had and how great it was to have so much of it. Last time I checked every team has 53 players which means just having bodies doesn't give you any more depth than anyone else. We need talent not bodies on the O-line. The D-line has underperformed so far, as well, but not to the extent of the O-line. I'm concerned about next week's matchup with the Falcons. If we can't do a better job against the run, we're going to be fed a steady diet of Michael Turner. And sorry those of you who don't want to face facts, but Favre behind that makeshift line had a great year last year. His experience allowed him to make quicker reads and get the football out. Rodgers isn't there yet, and he's hurt again. Weren't those exactly the two reasons (his inexperience and injury history) some of us were saying Favre gave us the best chance to win this year? And to clarify, I'm not happy about this. I'm pretty ticked off that these pretty obvious problem areas were ignored by our GM.

We need to convert some 3rd downs ourselves. The final stats on TOP and 3rd efficiency is staggering. We were 4-13(31%) on 3rd downs, more than 10% lower than avg, and our TOP in the second half was 8:28 to the Buc's 21:32.

This trend of our defense giving up 50+ more yards rushing/game is what disturbs me the most. Earnest Graham puts up 111 on us, don't even want to think about Burner and Norwood getting through our line, gives me chills. Through 4 games last season we gave up 0 rushing TDs, already this season we have given up 4.

Yeah the stats are disturbing ... Grant gets 20 yards and how many do we give up. This coaching staff has some things to think about this week. Our running game and run defense are jokes right now.

I had a bad feeling coming into this game, with the injuries and the heat. But I thought the Packers would at least play respectable football. This was their worst performance in quite awhile. What worries me is that a lot of our core players are not playing well. Clifton and Tauscher are whiffing on blocks, which almost never happened before, Ryan Pickett has disappeared,
and Donald Driver and Donald Lee have not done much lately.

The lack of blitzing on defense is becoming a problem too. They let Griese get settled in during the first half. To not sack a QB as immobile as Griese is really bad.

The special teams have been disappointing as well. They were good in the first game, but they've been a negative in the next three games. Poor punting and poor blocking for the returners. The bye can't come soon enough, but we've got the next best thing: the Falcons at home.

So now its Aaron's fault that Ryan Grant isn't making his cutbacks? It's Aaron's fault that the OL isn't consistently opening up holes for him?

I am not saying it's Aaron's fault, just pointing out the obvious
that Ryan has just not performed under a Roger's run offense
and may never. IMHO I think a change of pace with a new starter at RB
shoud be made.

Thats why he held out. He knew his yards would be much tougher to come by this season and his value would go way down. Honestly, i dont even think we would have offered him an extension for the minimum salary at the end of this year after performing like this let alone a decent size contract which he got. A huge part of his success was because the offense was balanced.

I still think he's pretty good but maybe what this offense needs more is a quicker guy who can squirt out in the passing game and make some key catches. Jackson seems like he would be a little better at that. Grant would be awesome on the Steelers or Giants or a team like that with a nice O-line but we just dont have that kind of line and i think we need to adjust.
