it's not that he doesn't "completely shut down the receiver". it's that he gets burned. a lot. that being said, I don't hate bush. I agree that the sample size of his performances are too small for me to make a judgment on him. but the issue is his propensity to get burned.

Adam Archuleta was a product of the Tampa 2 system from St Louis. He was tried in Chicago where the same or similar defense is implemented and failed.

He's not tried because he is not good.

I disagree. Bush is better than Ahmad Carroll. Bush can get into postion as a CB but he doesn't jump well for the ball.

When you see all the bad CB's in the league and bad burns Bush isn't nearly as bad as some.

When the cuts were made Bush was more valuable than Abdul Hodge.

Just because he is down on the depth chart let's not run him down and say that his experience makes him less qualified than a rookie.

He is one of the 53 for sound reasons.

Let's just trust the judgement of the coaching staff on their reasons for who plays and who is inactive.

Hm, bozz I think I read that Bush is much more comfortable at S now than he was during the pre-season.

I think it's difficult for any player to be comfortable at a new position in a matter of weeks when he's played another position for a number of years.

Bush has been a S for about a little longer than a month, he's been a CB for a few years.

I still think if Lee gives up a big play here or there, Bush is coming in for him. I think Lee will be kept on a short leash.
