There is a reason Lombardi has yet to find work in the NFL again... hell, there is a reason he was working for the Raiders WITHOUT EVER GETTING A CONTRACT... Lombardi thinks he knows more than he really does.

If Lombardi had actually done some more research, he would have known that Tom Silverstein talked to Ted Thompson after the Vikings game, and got the standard Ted Thompson responses that tell you absolutely nothing.

Most of the Packers beat writers have praised Ted, Harlan, and now Murphy for getting back to them when they leave messages seeking comment on stories/issues. You'd think from Lombardi's words that Murphy actively sought out the media just to make those comments....

Murphy said nothing wrong, IMO.

Murphy didn't say much more than Ted Thompson ever wood. Although the dreaded "midseason vote of confidence" is something no coach or GM wants to hear!

Guess basically my gripe is with McCarthy and his press conferences. They're frustrating to watch/listen to.

I don't see a problem with it. It's about time the pressure was put on McCarthy, who seems to be getting a free pass by everyone within the organization. I don't know how you can come to the conclusion that Murphy wants to be more hands on with the football decisions by his comments. He pretty much stated the obvious. It's about time someone came out and did just that.
