we've had a discussion about him awhile ago.. but sounds like he wants to go to a contender.. what do you think?? give rodgers another target with all the injuries and lee not producing well

Depends on what it would cost. I'm guessing KC would want a 2nd and I think that's too steep of a price to pay. I think Lee is a pretty good Tight End.

Rodgers doesn't throw to the Tight End as much as Favre and that's why his numbers might seem down. Rodgers seems to check down more and use the backs as his safety valve. Favre used the tight end.

actually in college, throwing to his TEs was a big part of Aaron Rodgers game. I believe there are two reasons for this:

1. Our offensive line is not very good, TEs are used more for blocking.
2. Our Tight-ends are simply not that good.

Lee is a good pass catcher and blocker. No reason to upgrade somewhere that would cost that much that isn't a problem. The reasons for Lee not having great numbers so far is that he hasn't been thrown to as much. We've had problems in the red zone, and part of that is not trying to get the ball to Lee as much as we should.

Maybe the TE's aren't running decent routes or were not running plays that have a TE as a viable check down?

Maybe we are again using a TE to help block like we did in '06 as an extra lineman?

I really don't know, but I do know I liked seeing our TE catching the ball. JUST THROW THE TE THE DAMN BALL!

I'm seeing a lot of times the TE is staying behind to block, and not that often going into an actual route (compared to last year). It's looking more like '06 than '07, and I don't like it.

Hopefully with a little bit more stability on our OL, it will look more like '07.
