Packers 3rd round pick plus a player were offered. Jay said it was a TE on the Packers. Jermichael Finley was a rookie that 2008 season. I don't think it would have been good to trade a 3rd round pick, plus Finley.

Basically, Carl Peterson screwed the Packers over. They agreed to 3rd round and player and Carl Peterson changed last minute saying he wanted 2nd. And Tony G wanted to go to the Giants.

Fair point, I don't know, but considering Finley was just like 21 year old rookie and they were retooling, I was just thinking that'd be the guy to take.

That said, I'm glad it didn't go down because that third round pick we needed to get Clay Matthews.
