The Packers weren't ready to play the game. The penalty by Jolly that allowed the Vikings to score their first TD was the pivotal play. The Packers never recovered from it. Very disappointing.
The OL did play better in the second half, but they still broke down when the game was on the line. And when Rodgers had time, the receivers had trouble getting open. They never got open deep, not even once, against a supposedly weak Vikings secondary.
Dom Capers lost all respect when he called a three-man rush on 3rd and 17 and Favre easily completed a pass for a first down. Later, he did put more pressure on Favre, and our guys still couldn't get to him. Zero sacks. Again.
I knew the Vikings were the better team coming into this game, but I thought the Packers could find a way to win. What I didn't count on was that the Vikings are quite a bit better than the Packers right now. Michael Strahan said it best at halftime: The Vikings know what to expect from themselves, and the Packers look like a team that just isn't there yet. Now they will have to scramble just to get into the playoffs.
