While I agree that we aren't "hands down" the better team.. but I think the discussion is closer than some on the PPO have been smacking around..

QB... Draw both are playing at a very high level.
RB.. Vikings hands down
FB... Slight edge to Pack
TE... Draw, but a healthy Finley probably tips it to the Packers.. although Shiancoe is playing very well.
WR.. With the way Harvin and Rice are playing.. it draws it right tight close.. but I think depth wise, slight edge our way.
OL.. Edge to the Vikes.. you have some issues though. We have been a disaster minus the last game.

DL... Vikes.. Williams twins and Allen get the nod.
LB.. EJ is a beast.. but I will take our depth.. call it a draw.
CB ... Winfield vs Harris, Woodson and Williams.. I will take the Packers even if Winfield was healthy.
S... Draw IMO... both teams have issues there.. albeit we have improved with Bigby the last two weeks.. but both offenses are challenged by themselves currently.

K... I will take Crosby.
P... Kluwe gets the nod...

QB-Even. Rodgers is a better scrambler and can throw most if not all of the throws Brett can. Brett can read defenses better and can uplift the players around him. He can also make clutch plays.

RB-Vikings Adrian Peterson and Chestor Taylor > all of GB's running backs.

FB-I'm not too sure how good GB's full backs are but MN's FBs aren't that great. But I'll give the edge to GB because they can be utilized more in the passing than MN's FBs.

TE-Packers-Depth wise, I believe the Packers have a better depth. Shancoe for the vikes has been very good so far.

WR-I give the edge to the Packers but not by much. With the emmergence of Rice and Harvin, the vikings can get it done in the air.

OL-Vikings, Packers are nb1 in sacks allowed.

DL-Vikings-they've been nb 1 in run defense for the past couple years and although this year they aren't as good, they are still one of the top lines in the NFL.

LB-Vikings-I think talent wise both teams have good LBs but I will pick Viking's veteran experience over GB's youth.

CB-Packers-Antwoine Winfield is the best CB of any of vikings or packers CB but the packers have better CB depth.

S-Packers-With bigby back i like their safeties over vikings. Viking's S have been having issues so far.

Special Teams- VIkings-I will take longwell over crosby and Harvin over anyone the packers have at KR. Blackmon is a big lost to special teams for the packers.

The better team? Vikings. Green bay will have to play a great game and mistake free and as well as create turnovers if they want to win.

According to this---

Vikings suck at tackling. Packers tied for best. Does it mean much?

Probably not, but it cannot hurt if the trend were to continue today.

Capers on pressuing Favre:

I went back and looked today, because I wanted to take a look at our pressure stuff, Capers said on Monday afternoon. And there were a number of times where we had a guy coming free (who ended up being) a non-factor because he got rid of the ball so quick. So you aren't going to pressure him if he's going to go 1-2-3 and that ball's out. Because you can have a guy come flat-free up in the a-gap, and you can't get any closer than (arms-length away) right up the middle, which we had, and he gets rid of the ball. So many times, perception and reality are two different things.

"I think we have to play our game. We have to do what we think gives us the best chance of winning. You can't get so hung up on (pressuring Favre). We could go out and blitz every down and probably hit Brett Favre a few times, but our chances of winning the game, I think, goes down."
