We were told that the primary reason we kept Wynn was that he could pick up blitzes too. ;)

Plenty of uninjured backs > Deshawn Wynn

Who'd we cut to make room for this retread, by the way?

Wynn could be headed to IR. OR, there could be a trade.

Dude, I think I made it clear that I don't think they entered this season healthy. But I'm done with this topic. I don't like being pessimistic, so I'll hope for the best. I'm just weary of this team signing injury-prone players instead of less flashy, more reliable ones.

I wouldn't even call Green flashy anymore. That's exactly why I don't get this deal. He's shown to be injury prone and he's lost a step. There's really no reason to go with Green at this point, if you ask me.

That Tatum Bell guy would've been great, though....

I refuse to believe there are no better options out there. I believe there are no cheaper options out there. But better? No way.

I have a hard time believing Ahman Green looked better than Dominic Rhodes. I thought signing Rhodes would make a lot of sense. This signing is boggling my mind, and I mean no disrespect to Ahman.

At this stage, he's a third down back. Which is what the Packers need.
Green can pick up blitzes AND more importantly, catch the ball out of the backfield. They can run screens and dump the ball off to him.
Hope he's still got some speed.

Ahman Green himself said he's a Packer again on his twitter, that's about as close to the source as you can get Mr.Pelissero.

I'm wondering if WSSP's only source is the alleged Ahman Green Twitter account. No one else is reporting this. I guees we will have to wait and see

Well... it an attempt to make us better, not sold on it, but I am open to it if they think he can fill a void.

I wonder why him over say Rhodes?

Alright despite the fact that no one reputable has said that Ahman is on the team maybe management saw something in him? I'll reserve my judgment on this signing until it's official and until we can see him in practice--maybe he's still got a little bit left in the tank? I mean, you don't think he'd play harder now that he's back in Green Bay where he reportedly lives 6 months out of the year?

Green is not signed.

WSSP 1250 Reports Green signed with Packers - 2 hours ago
Fake Green Twitter says Green is a Packer - 3 hours ago

That to me says WSSP's source is the fake twitter account.
