Mike & Mike just reporting, Edwards has been nothing the last two years in Cleveland, except trouble, his latest escapade, punching out 130lb friend of Labron James.

Mangini, I guess has had enough.

All the details not yet known.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

ahhhh Someone else watches Mike and Mike 😛 I'm glad Crabtree signed :)

I wonder if mangenius knows how to trade with anyone else besides the Jets.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

ya cheesey he finally got off his ass or finally told his agent to either get me signed or your fired. I have been hearing alot of people defending his attitude saying he is a team player and a quiet guy, and thats coming from Singletary himself and also trent dilfer that went and threw him passes.

Mangini's trying to get his entire NY Jets team on the Browns, it appears. He once again traded with the Jets and he once again included some no-name players into the trade who he was developping when coaching the Jets. We'll see how that'll work out. (Given, Stuckey's not that much of a no name, but he's nothing more than a developmental receiver, either). I wonder what these undisclosed draft picks are, but it can't be more than a 4th and 6th or something.

Anyway, good trade for both sides. Edwards needed to start over somewhere else. Maybe get some better coaching. Mangini gets some of his players back and gets rid of a failing receiver.

And i'm somewhat happy that Crabtree signed. It would've been pretty funny to see the 49ers lower their offer now that they're getting more and more leverage. I really wouldn't have minded if he entered the draft again next year and fell to the third round or something. I guess that he considered that possibility himself, as well.

I agree. Plus the Browns got two decent WR's to develop in the draft, so if the team is truly re-tooling their offense, why not get rid of a problem player that's not living up to his hype in the process?

The player wants the best deal he can get almost always. The agent says "Ok, I'll get that for you." Everything from there is pretty much the agents doing. Rarely does a player actually go into talks and say "hey, I'll just take less money if it means I can play sooner". Plus it's not like Parker is trying to get the most money because he wants Crabtree to be that successful, it means more money for him and more clients for him which ultimately means even more money for him. There's a lot more there for an agent than a player when they're making a deal--which is not say that Crabtree didn't play a part, he was the one who ultimately makes the decision because he picked the agent.
